v30 is our vision to baptize 1,500 new believers by 2030.
WHAT WILL IT LOOK LIKE AS WE SEEK TO DO THIS? HERE ARE OUR GOALS:
REACH
We strive to intentionally gather in our community, offering experiences, relationships and places for as many people as possible to find and life and purpose in Jesus Christ.
Ways to expand growth in our community include the newly developing HOPE Café. Our v30 plan includes multiple ways to continue inviting new people into our community at HOPE.
GROW
We know that finding life and purpose in Christ happens when we gather to disciple and equip our community.
Opportunities to learn from Scripture and grow in truth continue to be important in reaching our goal of baptizing 1,500 people by 2030. Plans to expand our leadership development include intentional programming and building digital resources.
SERVE
Local and global serving opportunities have been part of the HOPE fabric since we began in 1997.
Overflowing generosity remains at the heart of HOPE as we desire to share faith stories and invite our community to serve with our outreach partners. Our v30 vision includes focusing on ways to increase our capacity to serve in Richmond and beyond.
THE STORY OF HOPE
IN OCTOBER 1997...
After years of planning and preparing, HOPE held its first public worship service at Carver Elementary School. “Making and Maturing Disciples of Jesus Christ for Today's World" was the mission of HOPE in those early days.
IN 2008...
We opened the doors to our very first facility on Patterson Avenue after our small core of committed members gave several million dollars to purchase 36 acres of land and build on it.
IN 2016...
We opened our HOPE Kids expansion at West Creek and the brand new Lodge building for Students and more.
FROM NOW THROUGH 2030...
HOPE has a goal, called v30, to continue the kingdom-building work God has called us to. We are anticipating what God will do to expand on what we have built so far and continue to offer opportunities for as many people as possible to find life in Christ, continuing toward our goal of baptizing 1,500 new believers.
