Shawn Sweeney
Shawn is a believer, husband, father and business leader residing in Richmond, Virginia.
Shawn grew up in Columbus, Ohio, in a strong Catholic family. He graduated from the United StatesNaval Academy with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and served our country as a Submarine Officer for five years before entering the civilian world.
After his service in the Navy, he joined Capital One in Richmond, VA, where he honed his expertise in various roles over 14 years. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his own business, Spinnaker Consulting Group, which he continues to lead. It was during his transition from Capital One to Spinnaker that Shawn renewed his faith in Christ.
Shawn is married to Lauren. They have been members of HOPE since 2012 and have been married since 2015. Together, they have a beautiful daughter, Savannah, who is 5. Shawn also has a son, Stephen, currently 22, who lives and works in Charlotte, NC.
In his free time, Shawn likes being on the water, traveling with his family, and working on completing his private pilot’s license.
