Foster care and Adoption Support Team (FAST)

Our group believes everyone can do something to impact the lives of people touched by the foster care system. We want to engage the Church in finding their “something” to help meet the needs of the foster care community in the Greater Richmond area. Maybe that is lending your time volunteering at a parent’s night out, offering your truck to move a dresser for a foster family, or donating to help a grandparent be able to say yes to her grandchildren coming to stay with her knowing she can immediately have enough food on the table for them. Maybe you’re called to become a foster family. FAST (Foster care and Adoption Support Team) can help you connect with whatever your something is, and by doing so we will promote healthier family legacies as we support children in foster care, youth who aged out of foster care, foster/kinship/adoptive families, biological families working toward reunification, and social workers. God calls us to show His love and mercy in challenging situations, so we welcome you to serve with FAST.

Please note that this group does not meet regularly. We communicate and connect as a group through email as we hear of needs and opportunities to serve.
